Bonnie Ciuffo, CPA, CIA President of South Carolina Financial Services, LLC.

Bonnie joined South Carolina Federal Credit Union in 1994 as the Director of Internal Audit. After leading the credit union’s core processing conversion in 1996, she was asked and agreed to move to the position of CIO. Bonnie’s areas of responsibility include Business Performance Management, CUSO Operations, and Investment Operations.

Appointed to President of South Carolina Financial Services, LLC. in 2011, Bonnie leads a team of Executive Directors for various product lines, to include, but not limited to, Optimal Talent Solutions® and Insurance Solutions™.

Bonnie considers herself a “jack of all trades” with emphasis in technology, data analysis, knowledge management, accounting, finance, project management, compliance, credit union operations, and business performance management.

Bonnie’s leadership and foresight is continually called upon, and she has served on a number of professional boards, such as the Board of Directors for the FiServ Summit Users Group for six years, and their Audit Committee for a number of years prior to that appointment. She currently serves on the Information Technology Advisory Group for PSCU. In 2012, the National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU) named Bonnie Professional of the Year.

Committed to the local community, Bonnie is serving as the chair for the finance division of Trident United Way’s campaign. She has served for many years, and will continue to serve, as South Carolina Federal Credit Union’s Leadership Giving Chair.

Bonnie holds certifications in public accounting (CPA) and internal auditing (CIA), as well as a BS in Accounting from Clemson University. Bonnie is married with two step children and three dogs.

James W. Fede, President of Innovatus Benefit Solutions, LLC

James W. Fede (Jim) joined the South Carolina Financial Solutions team in 2013 as the President of Innovatus Benefit Solutions, LLC. With over 30 years of experience in the employee benefits field, Jim is a master at leveraging his extensive industry knowledge for the benefit of his clients.

In 1999, Jim redirected his passion and industry expertise to focus on the creation of his own Employee Benefit Consulting firm, Innova Plan Strategies, LLC. Jim has saved businesses millions of bottom line dollars with a major focus on Welfare & Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution plans.

Jim builds relationships and conducts business through client successes, crafting benefit programs that are a win for both human resources and finance departments. He delivers value and innovative solutions by transforming the mechanisms through which employers attract, retain and compensate top-quality talent.

South Carolina Financial Solutions, LLC purchased Innova Plan Strategies, LLC in late 2013, thereby expanding the means and opportunity for providing high quality, competitive, and needs-based employee benefit products and programs to small businesses and credit unions throughout the Southeast. As President of Innovatus Benefit Solutions, Jim continues to negotiate, educate, and advocate for his clients to satisfy their needs and exceed expectations.

Jim holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Kent State University. He presently serves as an Elder at Forest Hill Church and is a member-elect to the Board of Management at the Harris YMCA.

Jim and his wife, Dineen, have four children and a beloved family dog named Bella.




Bridget Hearn
Bridget Hearn Simmons
Director of Sales for South Carolina Financial Solutions, LLC.

Bridget has been a part of the South Carolina Federal Credit Union team since 2005. Her career with the Credit Union has provided her with experience in Business Services, Cash Management, Project and Contract Management. She has been awarded Employee of Choice by her peers for both project participation and audit.

Prior to joining South Carolina Federal Credit Union, Bridget worked as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant for Dorchester Two Schools while running a successful choreography business, working with Color Guards and Winterguards in Ohio, South Carolina, and Georgia.

Selected as the Director of Sales for South Carolina Financial Solutions in 2014, Bridget’s focus is on building and maintaining client relationships. Drawing on her diverse background, she is able to evaluate clients’ needs and offer strategic business solutions.

Volunteer work has always played a role in Bridget’s life, both personally and professionally. She is currently serving her second term as the Vice President of Community Outreach for the Charleston Chapter of The Project Management Institute (PMI) and previous served four terms as Vice-Chairman for the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce’s Total Resource campaign.

Bridget received her Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management from Charleston Southern University, is married and the proud mother of two grown children.



Leslie Norris SVP of Human Resources

Leslie Norris is the Senior Vice President for Human Resources & Development at South Carolina Federal Credit Union.

Leslie joined the credit union as HR Manager in 1998, became HR Vice President in 2002 and was promoted to Senior Vice President of HR by 2005. Norris manages a staff of 22 people (Human Resources, Talent Acquisition and the Learning Center) who provide an “Employer of Choice” workplace for over 420 employees across the state.

Leslie’s commitment to her profession is evident in the time and energy she devotes to honing her skills and keeping her knowledge current. She earned a Senior Professional Human Resources Certification (SPHR) in 2004 from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Leslie also holds membership in the Credit Union National Association (CUNA)’s Human Resource Council and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), a national professional organization.

Leslie is a visionary who is passionate about South Carolina Federal being the Employer of Choice. She has initiated and enhanced employee education, benefits, a wellness program, succession planning, and salary administration and employee development. Leslie championed the credit union’s application for SCBIZ’s 2008 and 2009 Best Places to Work in South Carolina award, which ultimately declared South Carolina Federal as a best place to work two years in a row. She was instrumental in the effort to create and refine the “Employer Step Up. Stand Out” sub-brand for South Carolina Federal. This concept is used now in recruiting materials, mass media and other human resources collateral.

Leslie was also a 2008 Forty under 40 recipient from Charleston Regional Business Journal and received the 2008 Executive Finalist award as an Influential Women in Business. Leslie has a Bachelor of Science degree from Francis Marion University

Troy Hall COO

Troy Hall, Chief Operation Officer for South Carolina Federal Credit Union

Troy Hall, Chief Operation Officer for South Carolina Federal Credit Union, is a global leader of senior managers with almost 40 years of strategic experience and more than 20 years serving in the role of senior manager and an outside marketing consultant for the credit union industry. As an international speaker, Hall’s "Not Your Grandpa's Conference Sessions" influence and enable leaders in the areas of leadership, group dynamics, diversity, and critical thinking.

Hall earned a Ph.D. in Global Leadership and Entrepreneurship through Regent University, Virginia Beach, VA with expertise in group dynamics. He obtained his Master’s in Business Administration from Charleston Southern University, Charleston, SC receiving honors as outstanding MBA student. Hall graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA with recognition as outstanding business student. Hall obtained the Credit Union Development Educators designation from the National Credit Union Foundation and has previously pursued studies at Harvard Business School, Wharton School of Business, Cornell University, and CUNA School of Finance.

Aside from serving on the Board of Directors for Lowcountry Orphan Relief, acting as a strategic advisor to the Lowcountry Chapter of Credit Unions, and promoting the Carolinas Credit Union League’s CUaware Protégé mentoring program, Hall’s schedule allows him to co-host “The Power of Performance,” a weekly blog-talk radio show reaching business leaders across the United States. Hall also successfully trademarked Genernomics™ and Every Day is Bank Transfer Day™.

Previously, Hall has served as the Chairman for the Ohio Shared Branching Marketing Committee, as a representative of the Ohio Shared Branching Advisory Council, and as an active participant in local credit union chapter activities. Additionally, he has served two consecutive Board of Director terms for the Columbus Metropolitan Area Community Action Organization and as The Reserve at Foster Creek HOA Treasurer.

Hall, his wife, Victoria, children, grandchildren, and parents relocated to the Charleston Area in 2005. They were featured on the NBC Today Show highlighting four generations living under the same roof. Hall enjoys traveling, skiing, and staying mentally and physically fit. Currently, Hall is writing a book about his experiences leading a multi-generational family living together.




Margaret Young

Margaret Young is the Vice President of Learning and Development at South Carolina Federal Credit Union

Margaret joined South Carolina Federal in 1992. Prior to coming to South Carolina Federal she worked in the banking industry as a Customer Service and Sales Representative. Margaret worked in several areas of the credit union to gain firsthand knowledge on the processes that affect the frontline area. Margaret held roles in member relations, credit union operations prior to joining the Learning Center as a Trainer, Manager and currently Vice President of Learning and Development.

Margaret has participated in numerous project executions at South Carolina Federal to include not limited to, employee improvement programs, systems implementation and credit union strategic initiatives. Margaret received her education at Trident Technical College and Hawaii Business College. She acquired certifications in retail banking, Philip Crosby’s and Associates, Langevin Services, and is currently working on her ASTD CPLP certification (Certified Professional in Learning and Performance).

Margaret is married with three children. She enjoys DIY projects, traveling and visiting with her children.




Paige Westbury

Paige P. Westbury is the Vice President of Human Resources at South Carolina Federal Credit Union

Paige has devoted 25 years of her career to South Carolina Federal Credit Union. She is currently the Vice President of Human Resources with responsibility for all human resource functions.

Her disciplines include performance management, succession planning, benefits, compensation, employee relations, staffing, behavioral analysis, career services, a variety of employee engagement methods, as well as programs such as wellness and diversity. Paige has extensive experience in the implementation and management of talent management systems. She also has 17 years of experience in training and development.

Paige is a graduate of the American Institute of Banking (AIB) and an University of South Carolina alumni in Front Line Management. She is certified in Human Performance Improvement through the American Society for Training and Development and as a Human Resource Generalist through the Society of Human Resource Management. As a certified quality professional and instructor, she also has 16 years of experience with quality improvement initiatives and is an active member of the quality management team.

Under her supervision, her departments have won multiple local, state and national awards in the areas of Training and Development, Diversity and Inclusion, and Human Resources.

Paige is a member of the local and national Society of Human Resource Management, the American Society of Training and Development, and the American Management Association. She is a devoted wife and mother of three children and enjoys spending time with her family in her spare time.

Crissy Ortiz, MHR PHR HR Liaison for South Carolina Federal Credit Union

An influential leader and change agent within the talent management profession, Crissy applies 15 years of experience and best practices, optimizing employee performance and organizational culture. Crissy’s specializations include talent acquisition, diversity, performance, and development.

Crissy has spearheaded numerous employee engagement programs during her tenure at South Carolina Federal, to include, but not limited to, diversity and inclusion, career services, and talent mobility. Applicable accolades the credit union received include:

Crissy currently serves as Vice-Chair of the South Carolina Credit Union League’s diversity committee; she is also the former Diversity Chair of Tri-County Human Resource Management (2011-2012) and former Chair of Trident United Way’s Financial Community Investment Review Team (2012). She has been quoted in publications pertaining to corporate culture to include The Federal Credit Union Magazine, CU Times, and The Post and Courier. She is also a regular author for CU Insight.
